Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Providence Society, Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Detected Content Mastery ("DCM") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform.

1. Information we collect

2. How we use information

3. AI processing and academic decisions

DCM uses AI models to assist scoring and analysis. Academic content may be sent to AI providers to generate scores, feedback, or summaries. Final grading authority remains with the teacher: DCM assists but does not replace human academic judgment.

4. Subprocessors and international transfers

DCM relies on third parties for infrastructure, authentication, payments, and monitoring. See our Subprocessors page. Data may be processed outside your country through these providers under applicable contracts and safeguards.

5. Security and incident response

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, and error monitoring). If a security incident impacts personal or student data, we will notify affected customers without undue delay and within timelines required by applicable law or contract.

6. Student data commitments

7. Data retention and deletion

You can request deletion or export by contacting support@providencesociety.com. For retention windows by data category and deletion workflow details, see our Data Retention & Deletion Policy.

8. Privacy rights and request workflow

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion. We verify identity before processing requests. Our operational response target is 30 calendar days unless a different legal deadline applies.

9. Children’s privacy

DCM is intended for educators and education administrators. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parent/guardian consent or valid institutional authorization.

10. Institutional DPA

For universities, districts, and schools, we provide a Data Processing Addendum (DPA).

11. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as product, legal, or vendor requirements evolve. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email.
