Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Detected Content Mastery (“DCM”), a service provided by Providence Society, Inc. (“Providence,” “we,” “us”). By using DCM, you agree to these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a school or district, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and maintain the security of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Educational Data & Privacy

We handle data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. When used by schools, DCM is designed to support compliance with FERPA and COPPA. You are responsible for obtaining any required consents under applicable laws or your organization’s policies.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed via Stripe on a recurring basis. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Taxes may apply. You can manage your subscription at any time via the in-app billing portal.

5. Intellectual Property

DCM, including its models, code, and design, is owned by Providence Society, Inc. You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide and improve the service.

6. Service Changes

We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical. If we discontinue a paid feature, we will provide a prorated credit or refund where required by law.

7. Disclaimers

DCM provides automated analyses to assist educators; final grading decisions remain with you. The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Providence will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, arising from your use of the service.

9. Termination

You may stop using DCM at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases and we will handle your data per our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless your organization has an overriding written agreement with us.
